About The Recycling Process

The return process is simple, easy, and fast when you arrive at your closest bottle depot with recyclable containers. First, you collect beverage containers from your home or business, then we count your return and get cash back to you!

Behind the scenes, we sort containers based on the material before they get a deep cleaning to remove any food, liquid, or chemicals. After this, everything is ground up before being melted down into pellets. The pellets are then bundled and sold to various companies to become new goods.

Our Green Bottle Depot locations are certified by the Recycling Council of Alberta (RCA), the ABCRC, the ABDA, and the Beverage Container Management Board (BCMB). By following the guidelines of these councils and boards, we ensure our clients get the highest quality of service when they visit any Green Bottle Depot Location.
