Bottle drives are a fun and easy way to raise a truck-load of money for your organization while doing
something great for the environment! There are many ways to do one: a door-to-door event, setting up
a central drop-off site or through year-round collection.
Saturdays are our busiest day, so you may want to schedule on a weekday or Sunday.
Spread the word and let supporters know how to donate.
Consider advertising in a community association or school newspaper.
Make sure supporters know when to leave their containers out and how to contact you to
arrange another way to donate.
Go door to door, or set up a single donation point at a school or parking lot.
Return to Depot
Our depot will help to sort and count containers. Our depot will provide an accurate
refund and give you a printed receipt at your request. You can also set up an account to
receive payment by cheque.
FOR A SPEEDY RETURN
Leave tabs and labels on!
Flatten milk containers and jugs, but do not crush other containers like cans and plastic bottles.
Call the depot to set a return time. Remember, Saturday is usually the busiest day and it helps to book ahead.
You can pre-sort and count containers. The depot will gladly do it for you… but if you separate containers by size (0-1L and over 1L) and type (i.e. glass, metal, plastic, juice boxes) in advance, it will mean a faster return.
